What study support is available to me?

The Learner Development Service can support your academic studies by helping you to develop the necessary skills to succeed in higher education. These include academic writing, referencing, and critical thinking skills, as well as Maths and Statistics support.
Support available includes 1-1 appointments (online or on campus), regular online skills sessions (via Teams), online guides, and video guides. All information regarding the support on offer can be accessed on our website.
The Library provide a range of study support. To find out what support is on offer, visit their website.
The Academic Skills Hub is a collaborative BlackBoard course created by the Learner Development Service and Library Service, which offers a wide range of self help resources that you can work through in your own time.

Use the Academic Skills chatbot to ask questions or access information about the Learner Development Service (formerly known as Study Skills) and the resources available.
Queries submitted between Monday and Friday, 09:00 – 16:30 (excluding bank holidays and university closure days) will be monitored by Learner Development Specialists.
Outside of these hours, any queries requiring input from a Learner Development Specialist will be responded to on the next working day after 09:00.
