What mentoring support is available to help me understand university systems, student life, and academic study?

Answer

The Learner Development Service (LDS) recruits current USW students to support their peers in navigating university life. This includes pastoral and academic guidance from three types of mentors: Digital MentorsPeer Support Mentors, and PASS Leaders.

  • Digital Mentors help students access and use university systems and apps like UniLife, Blackboard, and Turnitin.
  • Peer Support Mentors offer informal, practical support to help new students settle into university life.
  • PASS Leaders run weekly sessions to support first and foundation-year students with academic skills and course content.
