When is academic skills support available over the Christmas break?

Answer

Academic skills support through webinars and appointments with Learner Development Specialists will run as normal until Friday 12 December 2025.

  • A reduced service will be available Monday 15 December to Friday 19 December 2025 (one week only).
  • From Monday 22 December 2025 to Monday 5 January 2026, academic skills support will be unavailable.

You can still access our Academic Skills Hub throughout the Christmas break. The Hub is a collaborative Blackboard course created by the Learner Development Service and Library Service, offering a wide range of self-help resources you can work through in your own time. It includes interactive quizzes, bite-size videos, and guides to help you understand the basics of a topic and test your knowledge.

Digital Mentor support (provided by experienced students) will be unavailable from Monday 15 December 2025 and will resume on Monday 12 January 2026.
